About Media Mingle
Media Mingle started with the idea of getting all of the different people in Auckland’s creative and media circles together in one room. What we really wanted to create within the Auckland media networking scene was a relaxed atmosphere (without any formal speakers or debate), a free get-together with some drinks, a bit of food, and a good bar. We didn’t want to attempt any sort of industry education; this is already done well by all the official associations. Instead, we wanted to encourage networking between and within the different sectors of the Auckland media family. With this simple plan, Media Mingle was born.
The plan is to have one Mingle per month and move the venue around town to keep it interesting. We welcome feedback so please let us know if you have any suggestions by writing on our Facebook page (Media Mingle NZ) or speaking to us at one of the events.
We wouldn’t have been able to do this without help from all our supporters, not least gardyneHOLT who built this great website. Please take a look at the Supporters page for all the other people involved.
So, in a nutshell, Media Mingle is an organised networking event, without a dictated structure to the evening. We do the location, you do the mingling.
About Us
‘Us’ is Paul Matthews and Alex Erasmus, Account Managers at Bullet PR. Media Mingle is our brainchild and we have been able to organise it with the backing of our boss, but it’s very much a side project to our normal jobs.
