Degree Bar - We shifted a very short distance along the Viaduct for July's Media Mingle, where the drink theme was martinis. Around 200 people braved the chill to escape into the back of the venue and catch up on the latest industry gossip. The girls from Sutherland Kovach were again the resident photographers at what was a great Winter evening.

- Cargo Bar

Cargo Bar - For our first event at The Viaduct, we ventured to the private upstairs area at Cargo Bar and we weren't disappointed. With a great view across the harbour, the space proved perfect for networking. Guests sipped champagne, tucked into the great canapes and enjoyed fine service from the excellent staff. A fine evening all round!

- Hotel De Brett

Hotel De Brett - For our May event we moved to the fabulous boutique hotel that is Hotel De Brett. Media Minglers enjoyed champagne and canapes from the kitchen that won Metro magazine's 'Best New Restaurant 2009' award. Guests flowed between the open plan rooms of the hotel's second floor bar that has been converted to feel like an outside courtyard. The venue was a great success and Media Mingle will certainly be returning!

- Sale St - Round Two

Sale St, Round Two - Due to the outstanding success that was the March event, we returned to Sale St, but this time with a twist. As well as the usual drinks, nibbles and networking, we were delighted to welcome alt-country singers Tami Nielson and Lauren Thomson. In addition to Sale St, we would like to thank Toi Toi Wines and Epic Beer for again supplying beverages.

- Sale St

Sale St Mingle - We hosted the fifth Media Mingle at one of Auckland's trendiest drinking and dining venues, Sale St. We had the ideal mix of indoor and outdoor areas, which worked perfectly. Sale St generously provided free drinks, including some great cocktails, as well as great bar food. A huge range of Auckland media types posed for photos in front of our 'media wall', provided by print solutions company, Benefitz (www.benefitz.co.nz).

- Honey Bar

Honey Mingle - To take advantage of the great weather, the fourth incarnation of Media Mingle was on the roof terrace at Honey Bar. It was a great change to be outside, with our resident photographer, Clinton Tudor taking some great pictures. Honey Bar laid on nibbles and our alcohol sponsors, Epic Beer and Toi Toi Wines, provided some free drinks.

- The Hyatt Regency

Media Mingle 3.0 was held on 26th January 2010 at the 'Top of the Town' venue at The Hyatt Regency, on the corner of Princes St and Waterloo Quadrant. There was a huge selection of free food provided by the great chefs at The Hyatt Regency as well as an unlimited bar. Over 120 Auckland media types enjoyed the great hospitality put on by The Hyatt Regency as well as the fantastic views of both the Hauraki Gulf and the city.

- Clooney

Mingle Bells - The second Media Mingle, entitled ‘Mingle Bells’, was on the 8th December in the private function room at Clooney, one of Auckland’s top restaurants. In keeping with the restaurant’s reputation for great food, Clooney provided fantastic complimentary canapés. A diverse mix of Auckland media folk turned out and enjoyed a complimentary glass of champagne in intimate surroundings. All in all, another evening of great networking and good conversation, topped off with great service from the staff at Clooney.

- Suite Bar

Media Mingle – The inaugural Media Mingle was held on 19th November 2009 at Suite Bar, on the corner of Wolfe and Hobson Streets. There was a great turnout, with a mix of people from across the Auckland media spectrum. Suite Bar proved perfect for the event, with superb bar staff and a great atmosphere. The evening was enhanced by a collection of YouTube’s most popular viral videos, which were projected on the wall next to the bar.
